Subject
Clemson University Botanical Garden (currently known as the South Carolina Botanical Garden)
Description
This is an article published 3 April 1987 in Clemson University's student-run newspaper, The Tiger, about the (then) Clemson University Botanical Garden. The article features various information about the present status of the gardens at the time of the article as well as a bit of its past history. Some of these features include: The Grist Mill compiled from parts of other old South Carolina grist mills, the once thought-to-be-extinct Oconee Bells that were lost for 138 years before being resdiscovered, and how the Gardens have almost tripled in size since Christmas the year before (in four months' time).
