Welcome to Local History Matters! This website features exhibits about local history topics from different communities. Local History Matters (LHM) supports the vibrant community of local historians by allowing them to publish their work in an accessible online format for free. Building off of the rich tradition of local community history, this website collects, organizes, and provides free access to this important work. In addition to featuring exhibit essays, LHM will also serve as a repository for digital items obtained during research (photos, interview transcripts, maps, and other forms of digital material). The first batch of publications will be published in December 2018 as part of Clemson University's local history undergraduate course.
